TWICE's 5th World Tour Sold Out. Announced with European Tour.
DoAaa 2023. 8. 19. 12:05JYP Entertainment's TWICE, currently the third-largest K-pop act and the best nine-member girl group since Girls' Generation, continues to sell out their fifth world tour.
According to TWICE's agency, JYP Entertainment, the group announced Part 1, which began on July 15-16 at the KSPO DOME in Seoul, Korea, and has been gaining popularity locally to the point where additional seats have been opened due to rapidly selling out of advance tickets.
In particular, their performance at MetLife Stadium in New York City on July 6 was sold out quickly after the general pre-sale opened, and they opened additional seats twice and sold out all of them.
With this, TWICE set the record for 'first K-pop girl group to perform and sell out a stadium in North America' with their encore performance at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles in May last year, as well as 'sold out three consecutive North American stadium performances' at LA's SoFi Stadium in June and MetLife Stadium in New York in July.
Twice, who are showing strong ticket power by continuing to sell out their first Australian concerts outside of North America, were originally scheduled to hold one concert each in Sydney and Melbourne in Australia, Auckland, Houston, and Chicago in North America, and Toronto in Canada, but due to quick fan club pre-sales, they decided to hold a total of six additional concerts, one in each of the six cities in East Asia, and they are also on track to sell out all the seats for all the concerts due to quick pre-sales.
With this momentum, TWICE also announced their first European tour today (September 24).
TWICE announced that the 5th World Tour Part 2 will be held in six cities in Southeast Asia and Europe, starting in Singapore on September 2 (hereinafter referred to as the current time), followed by performances in LONDON, England on the 8th, Paris, France on the 11th, Berlin, Germany on the 14th, Bangkok, Thailand on the 23rd, and Bulacan, Philippines on the 30th.
Meanwhile, TWICE's fifth world tour "READY TO BE, " which will be held in about one year and four months after their fourth world tour "TWICE 4TH WORLD TOUR III, " will be held in 20 cities around the world with a total of 29 concerts, including the newly added regions today, and will include two stadium performances in North America and six stadium performances in Japan at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka and Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo, the first time a K-pop girl group has performed in a Japanese stadium.
